Australia handed over Iraqi POWs to the US and Britain. When we learned about the abuse of prisoners there, we did nothing and are now denying any responsibility for it.
I'm rather disturbed by implications of the denouement of that article, specifically:
"It also called on the Government to immediately cease negotiations with Washington on an agreement which would prevent Australia surrendering to the International Criminal Court any US citizens suspected of crimes against humanity."
Jeezum crow, Jem! All we have to do to be on Team USA is give up our legal and moral responsibilities to the rest of the world? Where do I sign up?
