While on the subject, a fan in OG attempted to quell wank by determining the proportions of new!TARDIS and classic!TARDIS from photos, coming up with the Golden Ratio for both, 1:1.6. In the face of deep fannish concern over these proportions, I demand that the new show's TARDIS have a ratio of 1.6:1, requiring Mr Ecclestone and Ms Piper to exit by climbing out of the top . I think the TARDIS should look like a large paper grocery sack with a baguette sticking out of the top. Just big enough for people to fit through. Not a giant grocery sack.

I had a long arguement re the TARDIS dimensions the other night. My arguee's complaint was it was too fat and the windows were square when they should be oblong. I eventually checked the photo of me by the genuine police box at Earl's Court a fortnight ago with the OG photos and pointed out a) it's about the right width and b) it has square windows. The only way for him to claim it was out of proportion would have been for him to say I was a lot fatter than I am. Or that the Met have secretly changed the dimensions to suit the new series. Ha.

It's all going to end like Logopolis, you know...
