And I was sickly amused when a stargate list I'm on mentioned the USAF giving the show some lame award for making them look good. Sadly, I have been mod-slapped for politics too many times to say "well, I suppose it's less effort than having to not torture prisoners. and get over that whole homophobia thing"

From what little I know of Stargate, the show makes the USAF look (a) dumb as bricks and (b) gayer than a treeful of monkeys on nitrous. "Hey! First Contact situation! Unholster those automatic weapons, people! That means you, floppy-haired boy."
