In case you haven't heard:

Voting machine error in Columbus, Ohio, gave Bush 3,893 extra votes

"Franklin County's unofficial results had Bush receiving 4,258 votes to Democrat John Kerry's 260 votes in a precinct in Gahanna. Records show only 638 voters cast ballots in that precinct."

For sheer peace of mind, let's hope that was an isolated glitch and an innocent error.

I don't know. The way things stand now, I'm not expecting much peace of mind for the next 4 years anyway.

Nonsense. For sheer peace of mind, let's go out and make sure this was an isolated glitch and an innocent error, and make sure there's no way it can happen again.

Of course. I'm just dreading the horror of discovering that electronic voting fraud was widespread, and the suspense of a long legal battle over it. Although seeing Bush tossed into jail for pinching the presidency (again) would also give me peace of mind.

Although whether or not Bush had any underhandedness in his win is made fabulously irrelevant by Kerry conceding.

Sorry, but Kerry threw in the towel. End of election.

Is that the case? (Serious question here, I really don't know.)

Is it the case that Kerry conceded? Yes, I watched him do it on live TV :-)

Is it the case that nothing will come from this? Well, the "Kerry won" article you posted a link to even says the Democratic Party will not be persuing this.

If there's not a plaintiff, there's hardly a need for a defendant.

No, I meant I was unsure of the legal status of Kerry's concession. Say massive voter fraud is uncovered and it turns out Kerry actually did win. Does Kerry's concession mean he wouldn't be allowed to be President?

TBH, I'm not sure on that point -- to my recollection, nothing of the sort's ever occured to that extent. I think that his concession COULD work in Bush's favor, but it's all speculation until an actual case is brought up. I guess.
