Further oppression

In 2000, Australia's Federal Parliament contained two non-Anglo Senators and the House contained as many as eighteen non-Anglos! Out of only 226 elected representatives!
I should look for a more recent figure but things won't have changed all that much, although with the loss of Aden Ridgeway I think the Senators are down to one. Anyway I think the point is made. Hide the White women! (Somewhere with Internet access!)
Also, during this brief search, I misread something and thought Parliament had banned all human clothing.

Date: 2006-03-08 07:21 pm (UTC)A dangerous and misleading thing (possibly related to your experience) is when people (of all backgrounds) say "Australian" when they mean "Anglo". I really need a tee shirt which says "Skip Shiksa" or something to ward off little old ladies, bus drivers, etc, who see my red hair and think I'd like to hear their remarks about immigrants.
*beats them up some more*
