Uh-huh. And the millions of gays, Gypsies, Christians, dissidents, and others murdered by the Nazis mean that the Holocaust was not a Jewish issue.

The most convincing 'The Holocaust was not a Jewish issue" argument I've ever heard is that for years it has been almost exclusively treated as ONLY a Jewish issue -- and thus you may be playing down the equally painful sacrifice of gays, gypsies, and others who *also* fell before the Nazis. I think there's some merit in that view, especially having met at least one jewish person who was unaware that others were persecuted and slaughtered in those death camps.

Had the guy just said "Women were not the only victims", I'd have no problem with it. But to suggest that sexism played no role, that it was mere coincidence that three-quarters of the victims were women - has the guy never looked at the Malleus Mallificarum?
