If the Aropax is anything like the Lovan I'm on, it can slow down liver function (or is it kidneys?) That means any other medication that is eliminated by the liver (or kidneys, as it were) can have a longer lasting effect.
I don't tend to notice any long-term effects when taking Diazepam though... Maybe you just need a cup of coffee :)
Just FYI, aidsmeds.com (https://www.aidsmeds.com/cmm/DrugsNewContent.asp) has a helpful drug interaction tool you can use. I found it through Crazymeds.org, which has also been real useful in keeping me aware of the effects of new antidepressants.
