My symptoms aren't sufficient to meet the DSM criteria for hypomania, but they're there: elevated mood, racing thoughts, distractibility (if that includes noticing familiar things as if for the first time - "Have we always had this printer?"). Interesting things seem wildly exciting. It feels as though something's going to burst out of my skull, like the rat in The Deadstone Memorial.

ETA: I feel as though I might burst into tears, only I don't.

Is this cyclical? I need to keep track of it, hence this entry. I've just got over a cold and sorted out my muddled-up sleep pattern - is this relevant? (I was knackered yesterday but could feel it coming on.) Is my medication causing it? Didn't I sometimes have the same feelings as a teen? *knocks on skull* What is going on in there?

It sounds like what I go thru when I'm going off my Zoloft. This time I'm staying off.

My one actual episode of hypomania, as best the shrink could figure, occurred when I was on one of the many drugs we tried before hitting on Cipramil - it may have been Zoloft, but that year has become a blur of side effects. (I'm on Aropax now.)

Your ikon is evil.
