Date: 2006-09-26 06:49 am (UTC)It does remind me somewhat of what the scoundrel Chomsky was saying in 2001 however - which was essentially 'if you want to know why AQ acts this way, listen to what their demands are - ie get the US out of Saudi Arabia & muslim holy sites, resolve the Israel-Palestine issues etc etc.
The idea that well educated men like Atta were killing themselves for hot sex in the afterlife always seemed a little silly...
