Moved house; waiting for the Internet to be turned back on. Sneaking bits of net time here and there. I'm working on two novels simultaneously: the first chapter of Angels and Robots (working title) and the exposition-y bits of Strange Flesh, which I've decided to separate out from the main action, since I keep forgetting what I've already told the reader - also they form little character pieces for whoever's doing the expositing.
You know, I first read about "junk DNA" in Discover magazine in ca. 1982. When I was at university, introns did nothing. So very much has been learned since then.
