Fell on my face after family dinner out last night and slept from 7 pm to 9.30 am. It becomes clear today that both Jon and I have colds.

Recounting the plots of Top Gear episodes turns out to be an excellent way of keeping a three- and two-year old out of trouble.

Top Gear has plots? Good grief, I never noticed. The latest UK season has just started on SBS, and the first show was grand.

Max informed his cousin Jenny: "James had to drive the truck very carefully - he drove up up up the hill - then he crashed into a tree! But he was wearing a fireman's helmet, so he was OK." It's sort of a mashup of that ep you just saw on SBS and various other anecdotes. You'll notice that, even at three, he's providing a beginning, a middle, and an end. :)
