As Allison Gallagher argues in the Guardian, the "No" campaign against marriage equality has long made trans and non-binary children and adolescents into "scapegoats". They can't win an argument about consenting adults, so instead they're attacking the Safe Schools anti-bullying initiative and the acceptance of LGBTI+ youngsters. As well as campaigning for the "Yes" side, we need to support those vulnerable, valuable kids. With that in mind, some links (some are from past posts but are still relevant).

It's been a fuuuun year.

I got to see the behind the scenes of Safe Schools / helped contribute a teeny tiny bit. I never understood how people got anything out of it as material to complain about - not that they need actual evidence or anything, oh no, but it was such a... random? choice out of everything they could have gone for. That whole program was as pure as freshly driven snow.

I just don't get these people.

I keep thinking of that Colbert thing where he said "COME TO MY RALLY OR YOUR KIDS WILL TURN GAY" and made his head spin around like in The Exorcist. About that level of logic.
